Self-adhesive clothing labels are ideal when ironing isn’t possible. They are applied directly over the garment’s care label (often made of polyamide). Their durability depends on the condition of this label: they adhere very well to new garments, but rarely last more than a year on older garments.
Iron-on labels, on the other hand, are applied with an iron to fabrics that can withstand a temperature of 160°C (such as cotton). They offer excellent durability and resist numerous washes, lasting for several years.
👉In summary:
- Self-adhesive stickers = application without an iron, shorter lifespan but very practical.
- Iron-on stickers = application with an iron, long-lasting (several years).
